This is not legal advice.

Nothing leaves your browser.

What Spanish and EU law require from a commercial website

Almost no small site fully complies, and it is rarely bad faith — nobody explains it. Article 10 of the Spanish LSSI requires you to publish who you are (name, tax ID, address, email) permanently, easily, directly and free of charge. Article 22.2 requires you to disclose what you store on the visitor’s device. And the GDPR requires you to say what data you process, why, and on what legal basis.

The three texts this tool generates cover those three obligations. They are not a generic template copied off the internet: they are the same ones we wrote for politerogue.com, adapted to whatever details you enter.

Worth knowing first

  • The tax ID has to be published. It is the part sole traders dislike most, but the law does not distinguish. The address can be one for notifications rather than your home.
  • Rejecting cookies must be as easy as accepting. It is what the Spanish DPA fines most, and no text fixes it — the button does.
  • Do not promise what you do not keep. Hours or a policy you ignore are worse than none.
  • If you use analytics, it cannot load before consent. The text without the behaviour is worthless.

Where to put them

All three go in the footer, visible on every page of the site. Not on one page, and not buried in a menu: the law says "permanently, easily and directly".

Common questions

Does this replace a lawyer?

No, and we say so plainly. It is a good starting point built on what the LSSI and the GDPR actually require. For a small business with an informational site it is usually enough; the moment you add a shop, health data or minors, you need real advice.

Are my details stored?

No. Everything happens in your browser: your tax ID and address are never sent to a server and we never see them. You can verify it by disconnecting the internet after the page loads.

Does it work for a multilingual site?

The texts are generated in the language you are reading this page in. If your site is multilingual you need the texts in every language you offer.

How often should they be updated?

Whenever something real changes: hosting provider, analytics tools, contact details or purposes. And review them once a year even if nothing changed.
