Six law firm websites in Valencia, measured on 27 August 2026 with our own analysis tool. Six is not a census and it is worth saying so in the first line: it is a small sample, chosen for being in the same city and the same sector. What follows is data, not a representative survey.
Even so, the pattern was clear enough to write down.
The numbers
The tool scores each site by adding up problems measurable from outside: mobile adaptation, security certificate, response speed, page weight, how the link looks when shared, whether the phone can be tapped, whether Google can read the business details, and how many contact routes exist. Higher is worse.
Three of the six scored above 60 points
Sixty is a lot. It means several serious faults stacking up at once, not one isolated issue. The worst of the six reached 75. In the same sector and the same city, three firms out of six are losing visitors for reasons that take days to fix.
Average response time was 1.1 seconds
With one case at exactly 3 seconds, the threshold above which a significant share of visitors leave before seeing anything. And that is server time alone: how long the full page takes to appear is considerably more.
Two of the six show no image when the link is shared
Paste the address into WhatsApp and a grey rectangle appears with no photo. For a firm that grows by word of mouth, that is the first impression of a client arriving on someone else's recommendation.
None of the six is in more than one language
In a city with foreign residents and businesses trading abroad, all six sites speak only Spanish.
What surprised us was not the speed or the weight, but that trivially fixable problems — a share image, a link that makes the phone dial when tapped — persist on firm websites that clearly invest in their image everywhere else.
Why this happens
It is not neglect. These faults are invisible from the desk of whoever commissioned the site. A phone number that cannot be tapped reads perfectly well on a large screen. A missing share image only shows up when somebody shares. And speed goes unnoticed from the office, on a good connection, with the page cached.
They are problems you only find by measuring, and almost nobody measures.
How to check yours
The same tool we used for these measurements is public and free, with no sign-up. You can analyse your site, or compare it directly against three competitors to see where you are the only one falling behind.
